Posted by Chris Roush

Reuters is looking for an editor to join its Global Enterprise Desk.

Candidates must have at least five years’ experience editing investigative and explanatory journalism. This is not a job for someone new to editing in-depth journalism. We are looking for highly skilled professionals with a track record of helping reporters conceive and execute ambitious, original, high-impact stories.

The editor’s portfolio of clips must demonstrate an ability to deliver lucid and letter-perfect articles (including top-to-bottom rewrites when necessary), the patience to bulletproof those articles to ensure absolute fairness and accuracy, and a flair for collaborating with photographers, videographers, graphics journalists and story designers.

Reuters’ coverage is broad – business, finance, technology, politics, war & diplomacy, social issues and more – and our enterprise editors must handle the full range of our work with skill and passion.

Qualifications

At least 10 years professional journalism experience.
At least five years of experience editing investigations and in-depth explanatory journalism at a major news organization.
Expert copy editing skills.
Multimedia skills are a plus.
