Dow Jones seeks editor in chief for Mansion Global

Mansion Global is a luxury properties listings, news and features site whose purpose is to facilitate the discovery and enjoyment of international properties for those looking to buy in luxury markets around the world.

Mansion Global seeks a dynamic and experienced journalist to fill the role of Editor in Chief. The successful candidate will be an outstanding writer, have experience in digital publishing and will be a self-driven leader capable of building the voice of Mansion Global.

Responsibilities and expectations for this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Build an editorial voice unique to the brand that targets both serious buyers as well as aspiration visitors
  • Create and execute an editorial, production and social media plan that allows for rapid pace and timely updates as well as more analytical, in-depth articles
  • Oversee the Spanish-language and Chinese-language Mansion Global editions
  • Build a loyal digital audience
  • Act as a brand ambassador
  • Lead a team of five reporters and editors
  • Plan and coordinate input from freelancers
  • Maintain the very highest standards across editorial output, including writing, production and visuals selection
  • Maintain adherence to accepted style guide rules
  • Maintain a budget for editorial costs
  • Present to and communicate with senior executives
  • Collaborate with the commercial, technical and product teams for Mansion Global to continue to evolve the brand and business

The Editor in Chief is a key pillar in the Mansion Global business needed to support our position as a trusted brand and thought leader in the luxury property industry. This is a high-profile role at Dow Jones, publisher of The Wall Street Journal, among other premium news and information products.

The candidate must be comfortable communicating with the most senior executives in the organization. Experience in real estate and/or financial markets is preferred but not required. The successful candidate must be an English language speaker. Knowledge of Spanish and Chinese will be viewed as an advantage, although not essential.
