Dealreporter has a vacancy for a financial journalist in its Hong Kong office. This is a great opportunity for a reporter keen to enter into the exciting world of investigative business journalism.

The role is with a fast-paced news service publishing real-time scoops on high-profile companies. The right candidate will enjoy intellectual challenges and be looking to advance in a career in breaking news.

Dealreporter’s team of multi-lingual and sector specific journalists focus on high profile M&A deals, IPOs and company events. In recent years, our team has scooped on situations such as OCBC’s bid for Wing Hang, Hutchison Whampoa, and New World China

The role is based at our Hong Kong office. It is solely focused on off-diary reporting. The right candidate will be as happy working independently as working with a team to stack up an analysis. Dealreporter offers excellent career growth prospects.

Candidates should have a keen interest in financial journalism and should find making new sources and picking up technical information easy.  Fluency in mandarin would be an advantage. A contact book of M&A sources would be a huge advantage.
