The Financial Radio Exchange Network operates a daily business news program based in Boston. It airs on 10 stations throughout New England with our flagship being WRKO AM 680.
We are currently actively seeking a co-host for the program.
- ROLE: To present quality business and personal finance reporting as a reporter or anchor who is also an active member of the on-air team.
- Covers and reports on stories as assigned by the host and producer
- Collects and analyzes information about newsworthy events to write news stories for publication or broadcast: Receives assignment or evaluates news leads and news tips to develop story idea.
- Gathers and verifies factual information regarding story through interview, observation, and research.
- Organizes material, determines slant or emphasis, and writes story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards.
- Develops sources and contacts
- Possesses excellent communication skills to present dynamic and relevant stories, incorporating the highest of production techniques
- Organizes material, determines slant or emphasis, and writes story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards.
- May take photographs or shoot video to illustrate stories.
- May edit, or assist in editing, videos for broadcast.
- May appear on television program when conducting taped or filmed interviews or narration.
- College degree preferred
- 3-5 years radio news experience in a Medium or Major Market, preferably a news background
