Bloomberg seeks data journalist in London

Bloomberg is seeking a talented and motivated data journalist to create graphics for a new operation that provides fast commentary on breaking news. The journalist will work closely with award-winning writers, editors, designers, analysts, and coders to create graphic stories under deadline.

Strong reporting, research, analytical, and time-management skills are critical. Promising candidates will be as comfortable writing news analysis as they are using data to create static and interactive graphics. A passion for journalism, data, and design is essential, as is a solid understanding of digital tools, trends, and infrastructure.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s or advanced degree in journalism or related discipline a plus
-Proven experience working in journalism preferably for a digital property
-Experience creating multimedia infographics
-Knowledge of data visualization and UI design
-Expertise in standard design tools (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
-Experience with D3, Javascript, HTML5, CSS
-Ability to work on multiple projects and manage priorities and deadlines
-Experience with QGis, ArcGIS, Topojson a plus
-Experience with Three.JS, WebGL, PostGIS, and Data Wrangling a plus
-Experience with statistical computing and graphics software, such as R a plus
