24/7 Wall St. seeks features editor

24/7 Wall St. is looking for a new editor for the financial news site’s popular features section. Articles published in this section are among the site’s most popular and are syndicated by the Web’s largest news sites and portals.

The candidate must be an excellent writer who is passionate about explaining economics, public policy and financial news to a business and general audience.

The candidate will use screens from sources like the Bureau of Economic Analysis and the Bureau of Labor Statistics to write long-form data-driven features. The candidate will also conduct research based on reports by and interviews with policy groups, non-profits and international bodies. A strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel is essential, and attention to detail is critical.

Experience should also include a full understanding of digital media, including CMS platforms, SEO and social media. The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience writing and editing for a major market news site.
