J. Jennings “Josh” Moss has been named editor-in-chief of the Silicon Valley Business Journal.

He replaces Scott Ard, who was in the position for 15 months.

A story on its website by Jon Wile  states, “Moss brings more than 25 years of experience to the job, including the last four years as leader of the Upstart Business Journal and New York Business Journal, sister publications operated by American City Business Journals, parent company of SVBJ. Moss has held various other editing and reporting roles in his career as well, at Portfolio.com, FoxNews.com, ABC News, The Washington Times and the Tampa Tribune.

“‘We are very excited to have Josh joining the Silicon Valley Business Journal as Editor-in-Chief,’ Bordelon said. ‘We look forward to Josh bringing his skills as a journalist and as a leader to our newsroom – setting our editorial direction as we continue to deliver informative and authoritative business news that helps company leaders make better decisions.’

“Moss, who will begin his new role Jan. 3, spent six years of his childhood in the Valley, attending De Vargas Elementary School and Miller Junior High School in San Jose. Moss has two brothers who still reside in the San Jose area.”
