Missouri paper cuts printed stock listings

July 26, 2008

The Columbia Daily Tribune in Missouri announced Saturday that it was cutting its printed stock listings in its paper, switching to the AP’s Money & Markets offering.

Stock listingsJustin Willett wrote, “As part of this change, we no longer will publish A-Z listings in the print edition. Instead, you can find a link to more than 2,300 mutual fund and stock listings on our Web site, columbia tribune.com/business. Also on the site, you can find news about markets and technology.

“Finally, the change will reduce the number of markets pages from 10 to four, freeing up enough space to allow us to fit all of the local business news you’ve come to expect into a 16-page magazine.

“The new content was developed by a team of AP staffers who consulted with newspaper managers, business editors and financial services experts.”
