The Houston Business Journal hired Mark Yost as its newest reporter, charged with covering lending, funding, financial institutions and all related areas.
A story on its website states, “Yost has more than 20 years of journalism experience all over the world, including the Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires. He hails from Brooklyn, though he has lived in Houston for the past year.
“‘We’re excited to have someone of Mark’s experience to tackle this new, expanded beat,’ said Editor in Chief Candace Beeke. ‘He’s tasked with following the money, and that includes philanthropy, economic development, banking, venture capital, wealth management and much more.’
“In addition, Yost will also cover law firms for the award-winning news organization.
“‘Houston is the hottest market in the country right now,’ Yost noted. ‘It’s a great time to be covering a vibrant and diversified economy that touches nearly every corner of the world but hasn’t lost its Texas twang.'”
