Office sharing-space company, WeWork has appointed Sandeep Mathrani as its new CEO. Mathrani will step into the shoes of former co-founder and leader, Adam Neumann. He will also replace Artie Minson and Sebastian Gunningham, who have been acting as interim CEOs since Neumann’s departure.

Mathrani’s new role begins Feb. 18. He will be reporting to Marcelo Claure, chairman of the board of directors and a close associate of Softbank.

In his new role, Mathrani will be responsible for relaunching WeWork. The collapse of the company had led to Neumann’s departure while also costing millions of dollars to its main Japanese shareholder.

Prior to joining WeWork, Mathrani was employed at Brookfield Property Partners, a real estate company.

Commenting on his new role, Mathrani said, “I am honored to be joining WeWork at this pivotal time in its history. The company has redefined how people and companies approach work with an innovative platform, exceptionally talented team, and significant potential if we stick to our shared values and maintain our members-first focus.”
