Micheline Maynard has joined The Washington Post as a contributing columnist, part of the Washington Post Opinions team Voices Across America project.
In her new role, Maynard will focus on topics in the Detroit area, in Michigan and the Midwest.
Maynard is editor-in-chief of The Culinary Woman Newsletter at CulinaryWoman Enterprises. She holds the same post at Melange: A Journalist’s Newsletter and Curbing Cars.
She has also contributed to Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Forbes.com and Medium.
She has also taught at the University of Michigan and was a senior editor at NPR and WBUR. She has also worked at Arizona State University and was a senior editor at Changing Gears.
Maynard has also held the posts of Detroit bureau chief and senior business correspondent at The New York Times. She was also Detroit bureau chief at USA Today.
Maynard was a Knight-Bagehot fellow in business and economics journalism from Columbia University – Graduate School of Journalism.
