The Washington Post has tapped Matea Gold as interim deputy national editor. Previously, Gold was editor for political enterprise and investigations.
She has been with The Post for over 8 years, previously working as a staff reporter covering money and politics from the national desk.
Prior to joining The Post, she worked at the Los Angeles Times/Chicago Tribune, Tribune Washington Bureau, where she was a money and national politics reporter. She was also a staff writer, reporting on television media in New York and more.
Gold has a B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles.
