Emefa Agawu will be joining The Washington Post’s editorial board in early July, reports the Post.
In her new role, she will “write editorials on social policy, with an emphasis on developments in state capitals and big cities around the country, and on other issues.”
Prior to joining The Post, she was a research communications consultant at Future of Humanity Institute, Oxford University. Agawu has also worked as a visiting researcher at Center for Security and Emerging Technology.
Before that, she was with New America where she held numerous roles, including that of senior program associate and program manager. She has also worked as a research assistant and has also interned at The Rhodes Project.
Along with joining the Post’s editorial board, Agawu will continue to pursue her MPhil degree from Oxford University,
Agawu graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science from Yale University. She also has a master’s degree from Oxford University.
