Wang departs Rolling Stone for NY Times Mag

Amy X. Wang

The New York Times has appointed Amy X. Wang as assistant managing editor for New York Times Magazine.

Wang joins from Rolling Stone, where she recently served as senior editor. She has also led Rolling Stone’s coverage of the music business. Previously, she served as music business reporter.

Prior to joining Rolling Stone, Wang was a business reporter at Quartz. She has also covered media, business, books, emerging technology, and higher education for Slate Magazine. She was also a writer/reporter covering U.S. business for The Economist.

Wang graduated from Yale University.
