Vockrodt joins NPR as editor

Steve Vockrodt

Steve Vockrodt has joined NPR as an editor as NPR and member stations in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska are forming the Midwest Newsroom to do investigative journalism.

Vockrodt comes from The Kansas City Star, where he worked as a business reporter, and most recently as a news reporter. He was also a staff writer at The Pitch.

He was a legal affairs reporter, and then served as a real estate and economic development reporter at Kansas City Business Journal.

Vockrodt has a B.S. in journalism from the University of Kansas.
