USA Today reporter Silvarole departs

Georgie Silvarole, backpack reporter at Gannett | USA Today Network, has left.

In this role, she was part of the network’s New York State news team, travelling across upstate New York and reporting, writing, shooting and producing stories with multimedia elements for Gannett’s properties across the state.

She was previously a suburban trends reporter for the Democrat and Chronicle, part of the USA Today Network. She was also a social media producer at Syracuse.com and a multimedia journalist at Anderson Independent Mail in Anderson, South Carolina.

She was also an editorial intern at Central New York Business Journal.

Silvarole has a bachelor’s degree in newspaper and online journalism from Syracuse University.
