Josh Meyer is joining the USA Today Network in the newly created role of domestic security correspondent, reports Politico.
Meyer is an author and currently working freelance writing on security matters for various publications, including Time, Vice, Al Jazeera and The Washington Post.
He has also worked at Politico and NBC News Investigations Unit as a senior investigative reporter.
He also served as director, education and outreach, and McCormick lecturer in national security studies for more than 6 years at the Medill National Security Journalism Institute, Northwestern University.
Meyer has also worked at the Los Angeles Times for 21 years. He was also a creator, executive producer and writer at Level 9 network TV show.
Meyer is a B.A. in journalism from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
