Tribune Publishing has named Helen Bennett executive editor of the Hartford Courant, the largest daily newspaper in Connecticut.
Bennett has over 25 years’ experience in Connecticut news media. She joins from the New Haven Register, The Middletown Press and the Register Citizen, Hearst Connecticut Media, where she was editor.
“I’m very excited about this new opportunity,” Bennett said. “I truly look forward to working with the outstanding team at the Hartford Courant. I think it will be a wonderful challenge. We’ll continue to serve the people of Connecticut in the best way possible.”
A graduate of the University of Connecticut, she has also taught journalism at Southern Connecticut State University.
