The Washington Post wins ONA award for pandemic coverage

The Washington Post’s coverage of the pandemic was recognized by the Online News Association with its award for Explanatory Reporting in the Large Newsroom category.

Through distribution of a free newsletter, an updated live blog, and innovative graphic visuals such as the simulation of how a virus might spread, the Post kept its audience informed and provided the latest news on the virus and its national and global effects.

Additionally, the publication was also a finalist in nine other categories, including:
