The Independent’s Gallagher to go freelance

Sophie Gallagher

Sophie Gallagher, deputy lifestyle editor at The Independent, is leaving her post to go freelance.

Her last day is September 1.

Gallagher has also worked as a BBC News and 5Live contributor at the BBC in a freelance capacity. She was also a digital journalist at HuffPost and has also worked as a digital writer at Time Inc. UK.

Gallagher is a graduate of the University of Sheffield.
