The Independent taps Coffey as travel editor

Helen Coffey

The Independent has named Helen Coffey its travel editor.

Previously, she was deputy head of travel online for The Independent and in print for the Evening Standard.

Prior to joining The Independent, Coffey was a digital travel reporter at Daily Express. She was also a sub-editor, staff writer and then an online editor – Ski at The Telegraph.

Coffey also put together Talk Business magazine, one of the fastest growing business publications in the UK.

She has also worked at Youthwork Magazine.

Coffey graduated from the University of Exeter.
