The Independent hires Sinay as U.S. writer

Danielle Sinay has joined The Independent covering U.S. politics, culture, lifestyle, digital trends and more.

Previously, she was a health and wellness writer at Penske Media Corporation. Before that, she held the post of trending news writer on an interim basis.

Sinay has also covered health and wellness, beauty, culture, trends, news and more for SheKnows, Teen Vogue, StyleCaster, Healthline, Remezcla, Elite Daily, The Nosher, Man Repeller, HuffPost, Bushwick Daily, Bklyner, Alma, VIBE and ILY MAG, among others.

Her work has also been published in British Vogue, Yahoo!, MSN, Her Agenda, Big Think and elsewhere.

She was also a lead writer, editorial staff at Thrive Global and an editorial/production assistant at SpinMedia, Inc. She has also worked at NBCUniversal.

Sinay is a MSc. in journalism from Columbia University – Graduate School of Journalism.
