The Chronicle (Newcastle) has hired Kate Anderson as a reporter covering Newcastle city center and the suburbs of Newcastle, with a focus on environmental justice, social justice and workers’ rights.
She joins from Teesside Live in Hartlepool, UK, where she was a news reporter. She has also worked as a freelance assistant producer at Global and has interned at London Live ESTV and Finextra in London.
She also served as a radio producer, presenter and news reader at Purple Radio in Durham, England and was a features editor at Palatinate UK. She has also interned at CNBC.
Anderson has a B.A. in English literature from Durham University and a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from City, University of London.
