Texas Tribune taps Fechter to cover urban affairs beat

Joshua Fechter

Joshua Fechter will be joining The Texas Tribune to cover the urban affairs beat.

His new role begins in August.

Currently, Fechter is a city hall reporter at San Antonio Express-News. Before that, he served as a reporting intern and then as a business reporter, covering retail, tourism, real estate, and economic development.

He was also a senior reporter at The Daily Texan and editor-in-chief of The Ranger.

Fechter holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
