The Sun Herald, McClatchy, has named Justin Mitchell senior editor, overseeing daily news coverage for the multi-media company.
Mitchell joined the Sun Herald in 2012 as a digital intern after graduation. He has also served as an assistant digital editor, social media editor and audience growth editor. Recently, he served as deputy growth editor for 10 McClatchy newsrooms, including the Charlotte Observer.
He was also digital director of The Clarion-Ledger in Jackson, Mississippi.
Mitchell graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi.
