Sterne joins NY Focus as managing editor

New York Focus has tapped Peter Sterne as managing editor. Recently, Sterne was freelancing for New York magazine, the Columbia Journalism Review and Jacobin magazine.

He was also senior reporter and then managing editor, US Press Freedom Tracker, at Freedom of the Press Foundation. He has also covered the print and digital media industries for Politico and has interned at Capital New York.

He also interned at New York Observer, Columbia Journalism Review, and National Memo.

Sterne graduated from Columbia University, New York.
