MaryJo Webster will be leading the Minneapolis Star Tribune’s data team as a data editor. Previously, she served as a computer-assisted reporting editor.
Webster has also taught at the University of Minnesota and was a data analyst/reporter at USA Today. She was also a senior data reporter at Digital First Media and a computer-assisted reporting editor at St. Paul Pioneer Press.
She was also a database editor and state secrets project manager at the Center for Public Integrity. She was also at Oshkosh Northwestern Media for 4 years, where she held various positions.
Webster holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
