We are excited to announce that Alyse Stanley is joining The Washington Post as a multiplatform editor for Launcher, The Post’s section dedicated to covering the video game and esports industry.
Alyse comes to us from Gizmodo, where she has been a regular freelancer covering the technology sector, especially the affairs of Tesla, Amazon and social media giants, since 2019. Before Gizmodo, Alyse worked as a technical editor at Huntington Ingalls Industries and on the copy desk at the Virginian-Pilot.
Alyse grew up in Portsmouth, Va., and graduated from Old Dominion University, where she earned a BA in English.
She lives in Chesapeake, Va., and her hobbies include hiking with her dog, Pixel, and playing the latest indie games.
