Spotlight PA has named Gary Harki its new criminal justice reporter.
Harki joins from The Virginian-Pilot where he was an investigative reporter under the O’Brien Fellowship for public service journalism. Before that, he was a reporter at Energy Intelligence.
Harki has also reported for The Charleston Gazette and was a general assignment reporter and then a city government reporter at The Exponent Telegram.
Harki is a 2019 Nakkula Award for Police Reporting winner and a former Livingston Award finalist.
Harki holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from West Virginia University.
