Spectrum launches local news app

Spectrum Networks has launched Spectrum News in Hawaii, a new local news platform which will be available for its Island customers.

The platform will be made available through the Spectrum News app, which will include a mix of local and community news, politics, sports and weather specifically about Hawaii. A team of six digital journalists and producers will create content.

The app can be downloaded to iOS and Android smartphones and tablets to read, listen to, or watch local news.

The app will also feature curated news content from Pacific Business News, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, West Hawaii Today, Hawaii Tribune-Herald and The Garden Island.
