Recently, she was a staff writer at The Marshall Project. She also teaches at Hunter College. She has also interned and reported for The Washington Post and The Hechinger Report.
Lewis was also a fellow at The GroundTruth Project. She was also a national organizer and staff writer at Resource Generation.
Lewis has a M.A. in journalism from CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
