Sheikh joins NY Times as a general assignment news reporter

Knvul Sheikh

The New York Times has hired Knvul Sheikh as a general assignment news reporter on the Well desk. She begins in January.

She was previously a reporting fellow on The Times science desk and was most recently a freelancer for The Atlantic, National Geographic, Scientific American, Spectrum, and Vice, among others. She was also a web editor at Big Science Media, publisher of Genome magazine.

She has also interned at Popular Science, Scientific American, and Live Science.

Sheikh has a B.S. from UC San Diego and an M.A. in journalism from New York University.
