The New York Times has named Jessie Schwartz a staff photo editor working with special sections. Schwartz has been with The Times since 2011, joining as a freelancer and performing stints with almost every department.
She then joined the staff as an editor on the metro desk.
Additionally, she has worked with AOL, ABC News, The Daily Beast and Forbes.
Schwartz has a B.A. in creative writing and journalism from the University of Arizona.
