The Salt Lake Tribune has hired Palak Jayswal as its culture reporter. She joins from KUER 90.1 in Salt Lake, Utah, where she was a digital producer.
She also served as an editor at the BIPOC Critics Collective and was a music writer at SLUG Magazine. She has also worked freelance, has interned at NPR and was a contributing writer at Women’s Republic.
Jayswal earned her bachelor´s degree in communications and journalism from the University of Utah, where she also worked at the student paper.
