Kara Voght is joining Rolling Stone as a politics reporter. Recently, she was at Mother Jones, where she was a national politics reporter, and before that served as an editorial fellow.
Her new role begins in January.
Prior to that, she was a reporter and data journalist at Politico. Her bylines have also appeared in The Atlantic, Politico Magazine, Nieman Storyboard and U.S. News & World Report. She has also interned at CBS News and NBCUniversal and was a news correspondent at The Chronicle, the independent news organization at Duke University.
Voght graduated from Vassar College and holds a master’s degree in journalism, magazine storytelling and media innovation from Northwestern University.
