The Facebook Journalism Project and Reuters have partnered to launch “Reuters Digital Journalism Course,” a free online training program for journalists.
Reuters developed the course’s curriculum after its Digital News Report found more people were using social media to access news.
The platform will focus on digital newsgathering, verification, reporting, and publishing on social media, while also covering wellness and resilience training while reporting.
As per Facebook, the course is aimed at both seasoned journalists and newcomers to the industry.
The course aims to support journalists across English-speaking countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, however, the course is also available to journalists from other parts of the world.
To sign up for the course, you must create an account on the Reuters Digital Journalism course website. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.
