PublicSource hires Folts as higher education reporter

Emma Folts

Emma Folts will be joining PublicSource as a higher education reporter in January and will be collaborating with Open Campus Media, a nonprofit newsroom strengthening local higher education coverage.

Currently, she is a senior staff writer at The Daily Orange, the independent student newspaper of Syracuse University. There, she has also served as managing editor, news editor, assistant news editor, assistant copy editor, and city beat reporter.

She was also an editorial intern at the Los Angeles Business Journal and was a reporting intern at PublicSource.

Folts is pursuing her B.S. in newspaper and online journalism from Syracuse University.
