George Shillcock has joined the Iowa City Press-Citizen as a local government reporter.
He will be covering Iowa City and surrounding communities in Johnson County, and business and housing development projects in the area.
Previously, he was a Indianola/Southern suburbs reporter at The Des Moines Register. Shillcock has also interned at The Columbus Dispatch and The Athens Messenger.
He has also served as department editor at Southeast Ohio Magazine and has also worked at The Post.
Shillcock holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio University.
