Powers accepts buyout offer from Chicago Tribune

Scott Powers

Scott Powers, a veteran Chicago Tribune journalist who has spent more than 20 years at the paper, mostly as entertainment editor, has taken the buyout offer from the publication.

He has also worked as an arts editor at The Boston Globe for 7 years, and was an editorial director at Hill & Knowlton. He was also editor of Signals magazine at Ameritech.

In addition, he was also with the Chicago Sun-Times.

Powers is a B.A. in journalism from Ohio State University and holds a master’s degree in telecommunications from Kent State University.
