Carrie Budoff Brown, top editorial leader of Politico’s U.S. newsroom is leaving to join NBC as senior VP overseeing the “Meet the Press” franchise.
In this newly-created role, Brown “will be responsible for MTP’s editorial programming on television, digital and streaming and will work to expand the iconic brand’s reach and impact even further.”
Brown has been with Politico since 2007, having worked as a staff writer and as a managing editor.
She was also with The Philadelphia Inquirer for 4 years, serving as a staff writer, Pennsylvania state politics reporter. She has also worked at The Hartford Courant as a staff writer.
Brown has previously also worked at The Philly Inquirer as a correspondent.
Brown is a graduate of Rutgers University.
