Politico reporter Mays departs

Mackenzie Mays

Mackenzie Mays, a reporter covering education and policy for Politico California has left to join the Los Angeles Times’ Capitol bureau.

Previously, Mays was an investigative reporter covering California’s Central Valley at The Fresno Bee. She was also an education reporter at Charleston Gazette-Mail in Charleston, West Virginia. She has also reported and edited for The Daily Athenaeum, West Virginia University’s daily student newspaper.

Mays has a B.S. in journalism from West Virginia University.
