PBS taps Nawaz as chief correspondent/Friday White House correspondent

Amna Nawaz

PBS NewsHour has promoted Amna Nawaz to the post of chief correspondent/Friday White House correspondent.

Previously, she served as a senior national correspondent and primary substitute anchor.

She was also an anchor/reporter at ABC News and was managing editor/correspondent at NBCNews.com. Nawaz was also an associate producer in the NBC News New York bureau.

She was also a nightline fellow at ABC News Nightline.

Nawaz is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
