Gareth Owen, lead correspondent/political reporter at ITV, is departing to join the University of Wolverhampton’s new Screen School as a senior lecturer in multimedia journalism.
Owen has been with ITV for over 18 years, holding various roles, including features editor, sport reporting/voice over, correspondent and editor – “The Lobby.”
Owen was also with ITN for over 14 years, also serving as its sports producer and reporter.
He was also a media trainer at PLC Media and a presenter at Arise News.
He was also a media trainer at Broadcast Media Services Ltd.
Owen has a B.A. in history from Cardiff University and a postgraduate diploma in broadcast journalism from Birmingham City University.
