The New York Times has promoted Amy Zerba to the post of deputy editor on the newsroom development and support team. Previously, she was senior editor for digital storytelling and training.
She was also an associate producer at CNN.com and a copy editor/page designer at the Austin American-Statesman, and was also a designer at the Houston Chronicle. She also served as a copy editor/page designer at the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
Zebra has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in journalism from University of Florida and has a Ph.D. in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
