The New York Times has appointed Tiffany Harness foreign policy editor based in the Washington bureau.
Her new role begins Jun. 28.
Harness comes from The Washington Post, where she was most recently deputy national security editor.
A veteran Post journalist, she has previously worked on The Post’s foreign desk. In 2014 she stepped away from foreign news for the year to help launch Rainbow, a visual platform for Post journalism.
Harness started her career working as a copy editor at The Dallas Morning News and later serving as assistant international editor. She has also worked at the Prague Post.
Harness is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where she was editor-in-chief of the University Daily Kansan.
