NY Times taps Kurmanaev as correspondent in Mexico bureau

Anatoly Kurmanaev

Anatoly Kurmanaev has joined The New York Times Mexico City bureau as a correspondent.

Previously, he was a reporter at the Times. Before that, he was Venezuela reporter at The Wall Street Journal.

He has also served as an economy and government reporter at Bloomberg and was an energy reporter at Interfax. He was also a financial services reporter at Business News Americas.

He has also reporter for The Olive Press and held the post of oil and gas analyst at Business Monitor International.

Kurmanaev is a graduate of University of Edinburgh.
