Azeen Ghorayshi will be joining The New York Times science desk. She was previously at BuzzFeed News, where she recently served as a science editor. Before that, she has held the posts of science reporter and investigative reporter.
She has also freelanced for the New Scientist, The Guardian, Newsweek, Wired UK and more. She has written for Easy Bay Express in Oakland, CA and was an editorial fellow at Mother Jones.
Ghorayshi has a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a M.Sc. from Imperial College London.
