NY Times Opinion announces new staffers

The following excerpt announcement was sent out by New York Times managing editor, opinion, Charlotte Greensit:

Stephanie Joyce joins Opinion Audio as an editor with the development team. Most recently, Stephanie was a senior editor at Adonde Media, making bilingual narrative podcasts, in Spanish and English. Previously, she was an editor and producer at WNYC Studios.

Rose Adams is our new columnist assistant. Rose was most recently a politics fellow at The Intercept, where she reported on health care, Congress and New York politics. Previously, she worked for two years as a reporter at Brooklyn Paper, where she covered New York City news and wrote for the paper’s sister publications, amNewYork and Brownstoner.

Rollin Hu is our new editorial assistant. Rollin joins us after writing graduate curriculums at Pedago. Before that, he worked at The Atlantic, The New Republic and WYPR, Baltimore’s NPR station. Rollin studied history and economics at Johns Hopkins University, with a focus on 20th-century China. He also ran the student newspaper.

Alexandra Ellerbeck joins as an editorial assistant working across Opinion. She comes to us from The Washington Post, where she was a researcher for the newspaper’s health and climate policy newsletters. Before that, she was a fellow at the Center for Public Integrity, where she reported on immigration and foster care. Before entering journalism, Alex worked in human rights, most recently at the Committee to Protect Journalists, where she led the North America program. Alex received her undergraduate degree at Wesleyan University and her graduate degree in journalism at American University.

Adrian Rivera is moving into a new role in Opinion as an Op-Ed editorial assistant As a fellow in Opinion, Adrian has contributed great ideas and terrific enthusiasm to everything he’s done across all verticals. Adrian graduated from Yale University in 2020, where he majored in history and studied the far right in early 20th-century America. He was a staff columnist at The Yale Daily News
