NY Times names Fleurima editor in Seoul

Farah Fleurima

Farah Fleurima will be joining The New York Times as a staff editor producing the home page in the Seoul newsroom.

Previously, she was editor-in-chief of TheDallasDiva.com where she planned and curated content for the blog that chronicles events in the dining, fashion and travel spheres. She has also taught English as a second language to Korean students and has led classes from preschools to the university level.

Fleurima has also worked as a freelance food writer and as a freelance travel contributor at Thrillist. She was also the local editor at Zagat, and launched and built the brand’s web presence in her hometown of Dallas.

She was also a contributing writer at Dallas Hotel Magazine and a copy-writer/editor at The BOSS Group. She was also a web content editor at the University of Texas, Dallas, and a copy chief at Quick, The Dallas Morning News.

She has also served as a copy editor at The Detroit News and was part of the Dow Jones News Fund copy editing internship program.

Fleurima is a B.A. in English from the University of North Texas and a M.A. in creative writing from Eastern Michigan University.
