Rachel Poser will be joining The New York Times as Sunday Review editor.
In her new role, Poser will “commission and edit long-form pieces and curate the section, drawing from and working alongside the story editors, all with an eye to producing the weekly destination for ideas journalism.”
She starts Jul. 12.
Previously, Poser was deputy editor of Harper’s Magazine, where she edited reported features, investigations, essays and memoirs.
Her writing has also been published in Harper’s, Mother Jones, The New York Times Book Review, and other outlets.
Poser holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and master’s degrees from the University of Oxford and Harvard University.
